Christmas message from the Pastor

Christmas Blessings…..Christmas is just around the corner and although for most of us, Christmas will feel very different because of the restrictions on gatherings due to the pandemic.  Our desire at this time of year, more than any other, is to gather with a host of family and friends to celebrate the birth of Christ and to wish each other greetings of the season.  Of course, we can still do that, although we might have to be a little more creative.  As well, our usual tradition of gathering in large numbers to celebrate Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Masses will look very different.  But as upsetting as that might be for some people, this might provide us with the perfect opportunity to step back from the normal busyness of the season and truly reflect on the significance of the Birth of this little child in Bethlehem.   Because the central focus of this season should be celebrating at Christmas the birth of our Saviour.  As we gather with our family, even if it is in much smaller numbers, may you be blessed with the spirit of the first Christmas when in the stillness of night, the Child Jesus was born unto Mary.  On behalf of the entire parish staff, may each and every one of you have a very Blessed and Merry Christmas, and pray that the Christ Child will find a home in your hearts.   May God bless you and all those who belong to your family, whether they be near to you or far away.   Merry Christmas to all!!
